Extension design & remodelling services for a private home in Culcheth
PAB Architects was commissioned to remodel our client’s former bungalow occupying a beautiful spot in the desirable Cheshire village of Culcheth, near Warrington, transforming the property into a two-storey family home.
As well as planning and designing the major structural changes to the property, our architect team was asked to add a ‘wow’ to our finished design through interior layouts and styling which made full use of the light and space from which the property benefits, accentuating the unique features of our work.
Our private homeowner client for this home extension and remodelling project in Culcheth, Cheshire, appointed PAB Architects following consultation which enabled our local architectural team to understand our client’s vision for their perfect home, and to create designs that turned the vision into reality.
Our vision started with the design of the home’s extension, continued with the design of a spacious internal layout, and was completed by advice on styling the property. Pulling all of these features together, PAB Architects created a unique, contemporary design which enhances the comfort of its occupants and their guests.
Transforming homes originally built as single-storey dwellings to double-height properties presents considerable challenges, but here the generous grounds and original property footprint and construction supported the extension and remodelling brief.
However, we had to ensure that, in adding to the height and usable living space of the original building, the finished home’s proportions remained realistic, adding further to the property’s desirability, usability and value.
With space and light the home’s key attributes, PAB Architects maximised these assets, placing them at the heart of our open-plan layout.
Our home extension design included a new, modern bedroom with views out onto the property’s beautiful, extensive garden. Meanwhile, a dramatic media wall is the standout feature of the living room, offering a comfortable and immersive viewing space for our client and their family.
Our design work paid close attention to our client’s preferences for contemporary styling of their home’s interior and exterior, and their intended uses for the additional space created by PAB’s remodelling.
This project is a stunning example as to how exterior and interior design features complement one another, resulting in a unique design which is as practical as it is stylish.
