You usually need building regulations approval if you:
put up a new building
extend or alter an existing building
install services or fittings in a building, eg washing and sanitary facilities, hot water cylinders,
foul water and rainwater drainage, replacement windows and any fuel burning appliances
Building regulations approval is separate from planning permission – you may need to get both.
Full plans submission method requires drawings to be deposited with a Building Control Body such as an Approved Inspector or the Local Authority and are subsequently checked for compliance with the Building Regulations.
The various stages of the work are also inspected and checked for compliance with the relevant technical requirements of the Building Regulations; by a Building Control Surveyor.
We undertake work to produce building regulations and technical production drawings for submission to the Local Authority.
