PAB Architects’ commercial architect, design and build specialists were appointed by a local automotive company in Wigan to deliver architectural design services for a new extension, bringing its site up to date and creating additional office and warehouse floorspace that enables the client’s business to increase its capacity.
Specifically, our work focused on site safety and creating room to grow for this automotive sector client in Wigan, Greater Manchester, creating an enjoyable working environment, safe access and egress to and from the site, and making excellent use of the site footprint without negatively impacting movement around the building or yard areas.
PAB Architects’ client, based locally in Hindley Green, Wigan, has supplied and installed van conversion racking, shelving, steps, loading and other bespoke systems for commercial vehicles and large fleet operators for over 20 years.
Our client delivers a complete service from design to installation, working on specialist vehicles, welfare vehicles, utility company vans and conversions for smaller, lightweight vans and vehicles. With a national reputation and high levels of customer satisfaction, our client has attracted a huge number of fleet projects in recent years and was in need of extended premises for additional warehousing and office space.
This PAB Architects design and architecture project in Wigan, Greater Manchester, needed to bring the site up-to-date with a new extension and energy efficient systems, to create a more contemporary aspect to the site frontage, whilst also considering efficient use of space and lighting for the future offices.
The separate security lodge needed to ensure safe and secure access to the site, as well as creating an attractive and professional customer entrance point.
PAB Architects, based in Leigh, Greater Manchester, worked closely with our automotive sector client and its appointed contractors to deliver a 2-storey extension accommodating new offices, more warehouse space, a customer meeting point, as well as a separate security lodge. These key additions create more room for vehicles and staff on this Wigan site, supporting our client’s growing business.
As construction progresses for this Greater Manchester automotive business, PAB Architects continues to manage the project towards completion.
